If That Mocking Bird...
Some how the summer encourages our feathers friends without realizing it, they become "pets." Such was the case of a certain mocking bird.
He has no name; you could probably fit him in on hand, and he loves raisins. Ah, you say, you must be talking about a squirrel. Wrong, my friends. I’m talking about a hungry little mocking bird that has a sweet tooth.
He squawks and squawks until he gets some sweet treats. At times he brings his family. The poor little thing was soaked after Irene’s wrath. I felt so bad when I saw him. I guess even his nest wasn’t protection enough.
Anyway, I digress. One day he followed a friend into the garage, sat on the roof of his car; squawked until he got what wanted. . .more raisins!
I haven’t seen him in awhile. Maybe he’s gone south for the winter. See you next summer, my friend.
