Life's Ups and Downs: Spring Cleaning

No matter how many times Spring cleaning comes around I always dread it. Something always goes wrong. You know you can't plan the "Perfect day"

Spring-cleaning? Surely you jest! It's not something that I'm looking forward to but, I know the dust bunnies are holding a meeting at this very moment  deciding which room to invade first.

So out came the vacuum and the mop. Where was Minnie the maid when you needed her?

I decided to clean out the pantry and discovered a box of cereal with a hole in the bottom. The next thing I know my kitchen floor is covered with Fruit Loops.

I reach for the broom but, I'm not quick enough. Bella the pug skids in front of Archie Bunker's favorite cereal and gobbles up the rainbow of colors that had hit the floor. She looks up at me and smacks her lips.

"Your Mom's not going to be two happy with either of us when she finds out what you eat," I say shaking my finger at her.  (We were also dog sitting for my niece's dog.)  Amidst all of this the doorbell rings.  The dog races to the door barking to greet the unknown caller. Heaven help us if it was the mailman. Much to my relief it's the UPS man. This suited her just fine, as she sat in the doorway wagging her little pug tail.

I'm guessing his brown uniform is more appealing to her than the postman's blue.  The UPS man hands me a rather large box; I sign for it, and lug it into the house.  Wonder what this is? I mused. After reading the label I realized it was the light-weight cover I brought for my bed from one of the shopping channels.

Reaching for the vacuum I head up the stairs to my bedroom. The dust bunnies aren't going to be happy about this, as I'm sure they have set up housekeeping under my bed.   Oh well, I'm sure they'll regroup.

I'll not  bore you with the rest of my cleaning escapades. Besides, that I quit after my room.

Sitting on the couch with a glass of ice tea I relaxed. The front door opened and my sister walked in from work. How was your day she asked?
