Teterboro Airport 5K Run
Where/When: Saturday, 8:30 a.m.; Teterboro Airport, 200 Fred Wehran Drive, Teterboro; 201-291-4050
Why Go: This is the 14th Annual Teterboro Airport 5K and is held on the airport runway. It will benefit NJ 2-1-1, which is a free, 24-hour information and referral service that connects people with social services and community programs that can help with everyday health and human service needs.

Calico Frolic
Where/When: Saturday, 6:30 p.m.; Steuben House, Historic New Bridge Landing, 1201-1209 Main Street, River Edge
Why Go: Watch or join in old-fashioned country dancing to the musical accompaniment of Ridley and Ann Enslow on fiddle and hammered dulcimer. A dance instructor will assist eager beginners in basic steps and movements at the start of the evening.
