Student actors from Applause Performing Arts Center, the resident theater company at the Saddle River Valley Cultural Center, will present several musical performances of “The Wizard of Oz” from Friday, December 9 through Sunday, December 11 at the Breslin Theater at Felician College, 262 South Main Street in Lodi, N.J. Youngsters from throughout Bergen County will participate in three distinct casts throughout the weekend performances which are scheduled as follows:
- Friday, December 9 at 7:00 p.m.
- Saturday, December 10 at 12:00, 4:00, and 7:30 p.m.
- Sunday, December 11 at 1:00 and 5:00 p.m.

Tickets are $15 for children or adults in advance and $17.50 for all at the door. Non-profit groups and organizations of 20 or more are eligible for special rates. Applause’s production of “The Wizard Of Oz” is a licensed musical presented with special permission by Tams-Witmark, Inc. The book was written by Frank L. Baum; music and lyrics of the famous MGM motion picture score are by Harold Arlen and E.Y Harburg with background music by Herbert Stothart.
Applause Performing Arts Center is a non-profit educational theater organization specializing in musical theatre classes and shows, and is the resident theater company at the Saddle River Valley Cultural Center in Upper Saddle River. It accepts boys and girl ages 3 to 18, from beginners to advanced; technique classes in acting, singing, and dancing are taught by Executive Director Kathy Renna and her professional faculty. The theater company’s spring line-up includes “Little Shop Of Horrors” and “The Little Mermaid,” May 4-6, 2012.
