The Junior Friends of the Library presents a special visit from Mary Rodgers, author of the classic children's book "Freaky Friday' at the library community room, Friday, July 13 beginning at 3 p.m.
Rodgers, who is the daughter of Richard Rodgers of the American composer due Rodgers & Hammerstein, is well-known as an author, lyricist and screenwriter who has composed musicals such as “Once Upon a Mattress,” “A to Z,” “The Mad Show” and “Working.”
Rodgers read an excerpt from the book which will be followed by a book signing and welcome reception in her honor. Following the reception the library will screen the original and remake films of "Freaky Friday."
