Looking for something local to do this weekend? We’ve done the research to provide you with a variety of area happenings that will keep everyone entertained. Below are the top picks that you and your family can enjoy in the neighborhood this week:

  1. 1964 The Tribute
    Where/When: Bergen Performing Arts Center, Englewood, Saturday, June 4 at 8 p.m.
    Why Go: Rolling Stone bills this band as “The No. 1 Beatles tribute show on earth!” The other ‘Fab Four’ has been around for more than 20 years and knows its stuff! 1964 The Tribute has performed almost 3,000 shows. Expect anything from “I Want To Hold Your Hand” to “Yellow Submarine” on the playlist.

  2. Third Annual Reservoir Challenge
    Where/When: Lake Shore Drive, Haworth, Saturday, June 4 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    Why Go: Paddle on the Oradell Reservoir or come cheer others on. The day includes a Mayors Cup race, canoe and kayak races, guided paddles, Whole Foods Market BBQ, nature walks, live bluegrass music and more.
    Pricing: Free for spectators, registration required for paddlers.
  3. Montvale Chamber of Commerce Street Fair
    Where/When: Paragon Drive, Montvale (across from Depiero's Country Farm), Sunday, June 5 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    Why Go: Check out more than 100 quality exhibitors, arts and crafts, two food courts and live entertainment at this regional event. The kids’ area features rides, face painting, a petting zoo and a community section for schools and civic organizations.

  4. Garden State Pets … Naturally!
    Where/When: Ramapo College, Mahwah, Sunday, June 4 from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
    Why Go: This "all natural" pet affair aims to help improve your pet’s health and happiness. Featuring natural/organic pet foods, treats, green toys/products, alternative health options (acupuncture, chiropractic, massage, energy healing, herbal remedies, supplements), positive training, pet walking/sitting/day care and grooming. The rain date is Sunday, June 5.

  5. Taste of Westwood III
    Where/When: The , Westwood, Sunday, June 5 from 6 to 9 p.m.
    Why Go: The Friends of the Library, in association with the Westwood Chamber of Commerce, bring Taste of Westwood III - a gala fund-raiser to benefit the library. Enjoy signature samplings from the area's best restaurants, wine, beer from Defiant Brewery, a silent auction and much more! Proceeds benefit Friends of the Library.
    Pricing: $50 in advance, $60 at the door.
  6. Seventh Annual Bergen County Bicycle Tour
    Where/When: Bergen Community College, Paramus, Sunday, June 5 from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
    Why Go: It’s a tour for cyclists of all ages. Cyclists from Bicycle Touring Club of North Jersey (BTCNJ) will lead rides during this exciting tour. This annual event is sponsored by BTCNJ and co-sponsored by Bergen Community College, Bergen County Executive Kathleen Donovan and the NJ Bike & Walk Coalition Don’t forget your helmets!
    Pricing: $10-$15.
