Graduating Students Can Apply for Various Community-Based Scholarships

Application deadline is April 11

Graduation is only three months away and for many high school seniors who are making plans to continue their education, they are reminded that they may also qualify for the various town based scholarships which are offered.

Deadline to submit applications for the scholarships is April 11 according to the school district’s web site.  Applications are located right on the web site and students can obtain transcripts or SAT results from the guidance department.

Various town organizations are offering form scholarships from the Junior Women’s Club which awards for visual arts, performing arts and music as well as community service to athletic scholarships such as the Susan M. Delcalzo Guinan Memorial Scholarshi, Gerhard C. Depken Memorial  and the Hasbrouck Heights Soccer Association scholarship.

Various community service based scholarships are offered including the Ruth Earle Perry award, the Steven Bizik scholarship named in memory of member of the Hasbrouck Heights Men’s Association and the Walter Fisher Memorial Scholarship named for a former Euclid School teacher.

The Lions Club, American Legion and Euclid and Lincoln school PTAs sponsor scholarships as well.
