Heights Councli Hosts Last Meeting of 2012 Next Thursday
Mayor and council will host its next regular meeting on Thursday, Dec. 27 due to the Christmas Day holiday.

Hasbrouck Heights borough council will wrap up remaining business for the 2012 year when it convenes next week.
The second regular council meeting of the month has been moved to Thursday, Dec. 27 due to the Christmas Day holiday. Mayor and council meetings in the borough are normally held on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month.
It's expected council members and Mayor Rose Heck will provide department updates for the past month and close out remaining business before the borough council reorganizes in January.

The annual reorganization meeting is set for Tuesday, Jan. 1 at 11 a.m. in council chambers.
Republican Councilman Russell Lipari will be sworn into his second term and Councilman-elect Democrat Christian Semenecz will also be sworn in. Semenecz served as a councilman previously in the 1970s.

During the reorganization meeting council members and the mayor will begin business for the new year making official appointments, provide a recap of the previous year and goals for what is to come in 2013.
