About a dozen members of the Hasbrouck Heights Police Department participated in the NJ Special Olympics Torch Run Friday morning. The torch made its way through the area and was passed to Hasbrouck Heights from Lodi. The police ran up the Boulevard where they were joined by a group of students who ran along and carried the torch for some paces.  School children lined the streets to cheer the group on as they ran past.  The torch was then passed on to Wood-Ridge.
