Heights Scholars Earn Degrees and Recognition

Gail J. Sherengos has earned a medical assistant diploma from the Dover Business College during its recent commencement ceremony last month.

Sherengos, who attended the Clifton campus, was among more than 400 students who earned career-specific diplomas in the fields of healthcare, business and information technology.

Rafaela Bosque of Hasbrouck Heights was inducted into the Financial Management Association National Honor Society at Berkley College last month.

This society was founded in 1974 to acknowledge the accomplishments of outstanding students of finance. To qualify, students must be members of the Financial Management Association and must have a 3.25 grade point average.

Gary Eck, grandson of Hasbrouck Heights resident Edna Teehan and the late Richard Teehan graduated from Saint Peter’s Preparatory School in Jersey City this month.

Eck, of Fairfield, the son of Cathryn and Gary Eck, was a member of the Germany Club and Exchange and served as president of the club in his senior year. He was a four year member of both Marauder Nation, Prep’s spirit club, and the rugby team. He participated in the retreat program at Prep, attending Emmaus and Kairos retreats and serving as a leader on Kairos. Gary also attained Honor Roll status at Prep. He will attend Manhattan College.
