HH Soccer Association Hosts Tryouts for Fall Travel Teams

HHSA tryouts begin at 9 a.m. Sunday and are open to kids grades 3 to 8

The Hasbrouck Heights Soccer Association (HHSA) will conduct tryouts Sunday, June 26, beginning at 9 a.m. at Teterboro Field for its Fall Travel Teams.

HHSA has had tremendous success over the last few years with its travel program, and is looking to add a few more teams this fall.  Travel teams are in addition to the recreation teams therefore one’s child must already play in recreation in order to join the travel program. Children going into the third grade through the eighth grade in September are eligible for tryouts.

The travel teams will be professionally trained once a week for an hour and a half by a dedicated trainer. The trainer will be booked for 10 sessions starting in late August and will finish in the beginning of November. The additional cost for the travel team will be $75 per child, which will offset the cost of training and extra referee fees that will be incurred.

The tryout schedule is as follows:
Boys U14 team, which plays in Northwest Bergen on Sundays in the fall, for 6th, 7th & 8th graders at 9 a.m.
Girls U13 team, which plays in Northern Counties on Sundays in the fall, for 6th and 7th graders at 9 a.m.
Boys U11 team, which plays in Northern Counties on Saturdays in the fall, for 5th graders at 11 a.m.
Boys U10 team, which plays in Northern Counties on Saturdays in the fall, for 3rd & 4th graders at 11 a.m.
Girls U11 team, which plays in Northern Counties on Sundays in the fall, for 5th graders at 1 p.m.
Girls U10 team, which plays in Northwest Bergen on Saturdays in the fall, for 3rd & 4th graders 1 p.m.

It is recommended that parents have their children wear shin guards and soccer cleats and bring along water to drink. Parents are asked to not bring soccer balls.
