Police Investigate Burglary At Ivy Inn

Police say staff found items missing, cash taken, upon opening the restaurant Monday morning.

are investigating a burglary to the that occurred overnight Sunday, police said.

Detective Capt. Jack DeLorenzo said staff discovered the break-in Monday morning. The thief or theives took cash and other items, DeLorenzo said.

The ivy-draped Terrace Ave. restaurant, an 1800s stagecoach that was converted into a restaurant in 1997, was not trashed during the burglary, the captain said.

Police will check with area departments to see if there are any similarities to other commercial burglaries, DeLorenzo said.

This is the second burglary to a business in two months. in mid-February.
