Jogger Hit by Vehicle on Oldfield Avenue
Jogger suffered injury to her head and minor scrapes, treated at hospital

A borough resident has been treated at the hospital Wednesday morning for a head injury after being struck by a motor vehicle on Oldfield Avenue.
According to Lt. Thomas Archer, head of the traffic bureau at the, said a female jogger was running along Oldfield Avenue when she was struck by a vehicle in the middle of the road while crossing from one side to the other.
Archer said the driver, Linda Burke, also a resident, was travelling south on Oldfield Avenue, saw the jogger and as an attempt to avoid her tried to pass on the left while the jogger moved into the center of the street as an attempt to cross over.

The jogger didn’t lose consciousness and suffered some scrapes and a “nice size” lump on the head from hitting the pavement, Archer said. She was taken to the hospital for treatment. Burke was issued a summons for careless driving.
