Junior Women Host Benefit Night at T.G.I. Friday's, Chic Charity Spring Fling

The Hasbrouck Heights Junior Women’s Club has put together a benefit night at T.G.I. Friday’s in Wood-Ridge  in support of the NICU of Hackensack University Medical Center.  Dine at T.G.I. Friday’s on Wednesday, April 25 between 5 and 10 p.m. and 20 percent of the sale will benefit the NICU at HUMC if you present the attached flyer.

The Chic Charity Club will host its second annual Spring Fling: Ladies Night Out event on Thursday, May 17 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at The Landmark in East Rutherford. The proceeds from this event will go towards the March of Dimes.

Once again the event will feature shopping with unique vendors, prizes, manicures, and specialty martinis.Tickets cost $25 if purchased in advance and includes entrance, hors d'oeuvres, raffle tickets and a special gift. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $30 (excludes special gift).

The Friends of the Free Public Library of Hasbrouck Heights will host its Spring Book & Bake Sale on Saturday and Sunday, June 2 and 3 in the Senior Center located on the first floor of Borough Hall. Entrance is on Central Avenue.

Gently used books and media along with homemade baked goods will be available for purchase. Hours are as follows: Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Hardcover/Trade paperback books $1, Paperback books $.50, Media $1 and some specialty items are individually priced.

Friday, June 1 is Preview Night for Friends of the Library Members from 7 to  9 p.m.

Donations of books in good condition are now being accepted. Call the library for details at 201-288-0488.

The Leisure Club will host a trip May 15 to the Sight & Sound Theatre in Lancaster, Pennsylvania to see the Biblical musical, “JONAH.”

The price of the trip includes bus transportation, theater ticket and dinner at the famous “Millers” Amish Restaurant.
