Kevin Dugay is No Stranger to the Stage
High school senior stars in the school's production of 'Bye Bye Birdie.'

When Kevin Dugay stars in the high school’s production of “Bye Bye Birdie” next week it may be his last performance in Heights but it sure won’t be the last time the young inspiring actor takes to the stage.
The high school senior has plans to study acting as he moves on to college and is planning to work in acting roles while completing his education.
“He is a triple threat,” says Erin Schneeweiss, his teacher and director of the high school production, who has been working with Dugay since the middle school, pointed out Dugay sings, dances and acts. He's athletic too as he is a member of the high school football team.

He even plays in an acoustic music duo, which doesn’t have a name yet he says. A multi-talented musician who plays guitar, bass and piano, Dugay said he enjoys song writing.
But he loves acting most and said he enjoys playing the bad guy although as Schneeweiss points out he always tends to play the hero. Dugay says his overall favorite entertainer is Hugh Jackman and his favorite actor is Tom Hanks. Jason Mraz is his most favorite musician.

Coming up in the next week or so, Dugay will appear on episodes of the popular soap opera “One Life to Live” and he also recently played Roger in a local production of “Rent” in an Allendale theater company.
“He has everything it takes to make it and that’s not something I say often,” Schneeweiss said about Dugay.
He joins his classmates next week starring as Albert Peterson in the classic “Bye Bye Birdie” which will be performed Thursday and Friday nights.
