Little Ferry’s School Calendar Turns A New Page
Students will ease into the new school year with three consecutive single-session days.
LITTLE FERRY, NJ — The calendar is filling up again, and Little Ferry students will trade summer mornings for classroom routines when the 2026-27 school year begins next Wednesday.
The opening week offers a gentle return. Students will attend single-session days Wednesday through Friday, according to the district’s updated calendar.
Teachers and staff will start earlier, reporting Tuesday and Wednesday for professional development. Schools will remain closed the following Monday for Labor Day before students return two days later.

Washington Elementary School serves children from preschool through fourth grade, while the district continues through eighth grade. Little Ferry students attend Ridgefield Park Junior-Senior High School for grades nine through 12.
