Local Resident Mentors Aspiring Writers
Popular adult-education class now open for registration at the Rutherford Adult School.

For more than 15 years, longtime Bergen County resident and professional freelance writer M.T. Schwartzman has been teaching students how to get published in his “Writing for Profit” class at the Rutherford Adult School. The five-week course offers practical advice for aspiring writers looking to sell their story ideas, and many students have sold their articles as a result of taking the class. Topics include how to write a query letter, choosing the right outlet, and the business aspects of writing. Sessions meet on Monday nights from 7 to 9 at the Rutherford High School, February 29 to March 28. The cost is $60. For more information or to register, visit the Rutherford Adult School online at www.rutherfordschools.org/district/adultschool.
