Local Resident Offers Writing Class

Longtime Bergen County resident and professional freelance writer M.T. Schwartzman will be offering his popular class “Writing for Profit” at two area schools this fall. The five-week course offers practical advice for aspiring writers looking to sell their story ideas, and many students have sold their articles as a result of taking the class. Topics include how to write a query letter, choosing the right outlet, and the business aspects of writing. Sessions meet on Monday nights September 21 to October 19 from 7 to 9 at the Rutherford Adult School or Thursday nights October 1 to 29 from 7 to 9 at the Ridgewood Community School. The cost is $75.
