Man Charged In Mall Sex Assualt Of Wood-Ridge Teen

Daina Firestone, a 22-year old from Garfield, was charged with sexual assault Wednesday night when Paramus Police found him engaged in sexual activity with a 15-year-old Wood-Ridge girl in a parked vehicle at Garden State Plaza mall, authorities said.

According to a statement from Paramus Police, Acting Detective Sgt. Frank Scott was at Garden State Plaza around 8:30 p.m. conducting a follow-up investigation on a past incident when he discovered a suspicious vehicle parked on the south deck.

Further investigation revealed Firestone allegedly engaged in sexual activity with the 15-year-old female, police said. Police also said that Firestone supplied the girl with alcohol. The minor was released to her parents.

Firestone was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child and serving alcohol to a minor, authorities said. 

Bail was set at $200,000 by Superior Court Judge Kenneth Slomineski and Firestone was brought to Bergen County Jail.
