Man Driving Stolen Vehicle From Hasbrouck Heights Arrested: Police

Omar Serrano, 45, was driving a Honda that was stolen from Hasbrouck Heights Friday, police said.

HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ - Police arrested a Newark man in Paramus Saturday after they caught him driving a car that was stolen from Hasbrouck Heights Friday.

Lt. David Angelucci saw a 2002 tan Honda Accord weaving across the double yellow line on Midland Avenue Saturday, said Paramus Police Chief Kenneth Ehrenberg.

Lt. Angelucci stopped the car on Sears Drive and found burglary tools, including screwdrivers, pilers, and vise grips, inside, Ehrenberg said.

Lt. Angelucci discovered that the vehicle had been stolen from Hasbrouck Heights the day before.

Driver Omar Serrano, 45, of Newark, was charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle and possession of burglary tools. He was transported to the Bergen County Jail on $5,000 bail with no 10 percent option.
