New Children's Party Place Comes to Heights

Jump On In hosted its official grand opening this weekend

The name says it all - Jump On In.  An invitation for children to come on in, jump around and have fun.

The brand new 10,000 square feet Jump On In, children’s party facility complete with inflatable slides, bounce houses, obstacle courses and more, held its official grand opening this weekend.

Wally and Luz Carrillo chose the Hasbrouck Heights Route 17 South location because they know the area is home to a lot of families whose children now have a center where they can host a big party with all their friends in a safe and fun environment.

“All you need is your socks,” said Luz Carrillo as she and her husband led a group of families on a tour of the facility where the couple explained the entire party experience. Upon first walking in a bright and colorful lobby greets guests before they enter the first humungous playroom which includes a huge inflatable slide and inflatable basketball court.

The Carrillos explained that two referees are on hand at all times to look after the children and parents in attendance at the party stay in the room as well. For safety purposes, Carrillo said there are two height requirements of either 36 inches or 42 inches, the average size of most 3 or 4-year-olds, for some of the slides and obstacle courses.

The party then moves on into the next room, even larger than the first, which has more inflatable slides and bounce houses and other features kids can play with such as air baseball and air cannons.  There’s also a fussball table and air hockey.

Lastly there is a party room for the pizza and cake part of the festivities.

Mayor Rose Heck, Councilwoman Sonya Buckman, and Councilman David Gonzalez were in attendance to officially welcome Jump On In to the community. Before the open house tours began the mayor made the opening official by cutting the ribbon.

The Hasbrouck Heights location is the second one in New Jersey; the first is located in Boonton, said Kevin Lynch, president of the Jump On In franchise. Lynch explained that the very first one is located in Lowell, Mass. which he and his wife started. They wanted to create a party environment for children that could accommodate large groups. Jump On In can accommodate parties between 15 and 35 children. “You can invite the whole clan,” said Lynch.

In addition to providing a fun place for kids’ parties, another advantage is that it keeps them physically active, Carillo pointed out noting that there are no video games in the facility.

Aside from parties, parents can also sign their children up to come in for after-school sessions. They can also accommodate school field trips as well, Luz Carrillo said.
