NYC Man Charged With Stealing Leather Gloves From Employer
Police say man tried to leave with $2,500 worth of merchandise

A New York City man was charged late Tuesday with stealing about $2,500 worth of merchandise from his Hasbrouck Heights-based employer, police said.
Edwin Gonzalez, 32, a temporary worker with , was allegedly seen leaving at the end of the workday with six pairs of leather gloves, each valued at about $430, said Police Captain Jack DeLorenzo. In total, the merchandise was valued at around $2,500, he said.
Gonzalez was transported to headquarters and charged with theft. He is currently being held at the Bergen County Jail, DeLorenzo said. Bail was set at $2,500.
