Following their monthly meeting and drill, members of Engine Company No. 1 of the Hasbrouck Heights Volunteer Fire Department gathered for a BBQ at the fire house Wednesday night. Former fire chief Joe Taylor, Jr. manned the grill cooking up hamburgers and hot dogs while firefighter Justin Watrel served up trays of homecooked dishes. The fire department consists of about 56 members, Chief Kevin Todd said. There are two engine companies, a ladder company and the EMS team which is also part of the department.
