Saadis Bring Garage Sale Shopping to Heights Year Round
New business in town sells used items in good condition
Nabil Saadi considers himself somewhat of a collector. He and his wife Silvana frequent garage sales looking for good quality items to sell at their own garage sale. Only their garage sale is open six days a week, all year long.
Known as the Super Garage Sale store, the new shop calls the Boulevard in Hasbrouck Heights its home, offering slightly used items in good condition for sale.
Saadi, who resides in Mahwah with his family, has had close ties to Hasbrouck Heights for a number of years. He formerly worked at the town's Minit Mart and managed a former bed and mattress store on Route 17. Now he is back in town with his own shop.

Saadi came up with the idea for this type of store by heading to garage sales often during the summer months. He'd notice how many people would frequent the sales, most times clearing them out by the end of the day. Taking into account that such sales are limited to the warm months of the year he realized that by opening this type of store people could garage sale shop all year long.
"Now you don't have to wait for the summer to buy from garage sales as this one never closes," Saadi said.

The shop offers a selection of second-hand items such as jewelry, furniture and clothes—something he plans on expanding soon, toys and seasonal items. The Saadi family just opened the store a little more than a month ago and are open Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
