St. Cyprian's Celebrating 100th Anniversary In Hasbrouck Heights

HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ — A century after its first official service, St. Cyprian’s Episcopal Church in Hackensack is celebrating the milestone with a 100th anniversary gathering in Hasbrouck Heights this weekend.

St. Cyprian’s Episcopal Church will hold its 100th anniversary luncheon Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. at the Hilton Hotel, 650 Terrace Avenue, according to the Diocese of Newark.

The church’s official history says St. Cyprian’s Mission opened for its first service in 1925. Its first official service was held Sept. 26, 1926 — exactly 100 years before Saturday’s celebration.

The buffet-style luncheon will include beef pot roast, roasted chicken, salads, casserole, vegetables and desserts, along with several beverages.

Free prize giveaways are also planned “as a thank you for your support,” according to the announcement.

Admission to the celebration is $120.
