Strong men, and one strong woman, competed in the Athletic Overdive Strong Man Competition Saturday morning, a benefit for a charity which will assist needy children this holiday season.
Locals from Hasbrouck Heights and the surrounding area took part in the event at the Wood-Ridge athletic facility which is owned and operated by a team of men all who hail from Heights.
Garret Van Curen was named the winner of the 18 and over competition.
