10 Chickens Killed In Greenhouse Fire In Somerset County
A neighbor extinguished the fire on Sunday night, said Hillsborough Police.
HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — A total of 10 chickens died in a fire inside a greenhouse in Hillsborough on Sunday night.
On April 13 at around 5:35 p.m., the Hillsborough Township Police responded to 875 Amwell Road for a report of a greenhouse fire.
Police found that the fire had already been extinguished by a neighbor, said Hillsborough Police Sgt. Kulbeer Singh.

The greenhouse structure was used as a chicken coop and 10 chickens perished during the fire, said Singh.
The fire does not appear to be suspicious in nature. The incident remains under investigation by the Hillsborough Township Police Department and Hillsborough Township Bureau of Fire Safety.
