107 Pounds Of Marijuana, 9 Guns, $69K Recovered At Hillsborough Home

Hillsborough, NJ -- Police seized more than 100 pounds of marijuana, worth $480,000 on the street, along with nine firearms and almost $70,000 in cash from a Hillsborough home, Acting Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson announced.
On Tuesday, April 12, detectives from the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office and the Hillsborough Township Police Department executed a search warrant at Craig Ocleppo's home on Zion Road in Hillsborough.
During the search, detectives seized 107 pounds of marijuana which was pre-packaged and in clear heat sealed plastic bags inside two steamer trunks, according to a release.

The estimated street value of the marijuana was $480,000.
Additionally, detectives also recovered nine firearms, to include handguns, rifles and shotguns. One of the weapons, a Sig Sauer Model SIG516 semi-automatic rifle 5.56 NATO, is prohibited under New Jersey law as an assault firearm, according to Robertson.

Eighteen large capacity ammunition magazines and $69,955 in cash were also seized from the residence, according to Robertson.
Ocleppo, age 30, has been charged with Possession of CDS with the Intent to Distribute (Marijuana) first degree, Possession of an Assault Firearm, second degree, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Drug Offense, second degree and Possession of Large Capacity Ammunition Magazines, fourth degree.
He was lodged in the Somerset County Jail. Honorable Kathy C. Quasim, J.S.C. set the defendant’s bail at $150,000 cash only.
