139 Total Coronavirus Cases Reported In Somerset County Wednesday

Gov. Phil Murphy said Wednesday that he's ordered many day care centers to shut down amid the coronavirus outbreak.

SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — The total number of positive cases of the new coronavirus reported in Somerset County on Wednesday afternoon has increased to 139, including two deaths, according to Somerset County Department of Public Health and Safety.

Here is a breakdown of Somerset County towns and number of COVID-19 cases as of Tuesday at 3 p.m.:

  • Bedminster - 6
  • Bernards Township - 7
  • Bernardsville - 6
  • Bound Brook - 3
  • Branchburg - 11
  • Bridgewater - 13, 1 death
  • Far Hills - 0
  • Franklin - 30, 1 death
  • Green Brook - 5
  • Hillsborough - 11
  • Manville - 4
  • Millstone - 0
  • Mongtomery - 10
  • North Plainfield - 11
  • Peapack-Gladstone - 2
  • Raritan - 3
  • Rocky Hill - 0
  • Somerville - 3
  • South Bound Brook - 1
  • Warren - 10
  • Watchung - 3

Murphy also announced that the state has 736 more positive tests and 18 more deaths, raising the case total to 4,402 and the death toll to 62 as of Wednesday (See Related: Gov. Murphy To Shut Many Day Care Centers Amid Coronavirus Crisis)
