17-Year-Old Seriously Injured After Crash With Truck In Franklin
The crash involving a Freightliner Truck and a Honda Accord was reported on Amwell Road in Franklin on Friday morning.
FRANKLIN, NJ — A 17-year-old girl was seriously injured following a crash with a truck on Amwell Road on Friday, Franklin Police report.
On April 5 at 8:32 a.m., a Freightliner Truck driven by Forrest Voelker, 54, from Somerset, was driving eastbound on Amwell Road when it collided with a 2004 Honda Accord, driven by the Franklin Park teenager, Franklin Police Lt. Philip Rizzo said.
The teen was trying to make a left hand turn onto Amwell Road from Olcott Street when the crash occurred, Rizzo said.

The teen suffered a serious head injury and was transported to a local area trauma center by EMS personnel.
The roadway was closed and members from the Franklin Township Police Department’s Traffic Safety Bureau responded to the scene.

The factors that contributed to the crash are currently under investigation.
