All Hillsborough Schools Closed Tuesday Due To Snow

The National Weather Service is predicting 4 to 8 inches of snow could fall in Hillsborough

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — All Hillsborough Township Schools are closed on Tuesday due to snow, the district announced Tuesday.

"Due to weather conditions, all Hillsborough Township Public Schools will be closed today... All after school events are canceled," according to the district.

The district initially called for a two-hour delayed opening for schools on Monday before making the change on Tuesday morning.

The National Weather Service(NWS) has issued a Winter Storm Warning from midnight on Monday through 3 p.m. on Tuesday.

The NWS is predicting 4 to 8 inches of snow could fall in Hillsborough.

Temperatures will reach a high of 38 on Tuesday and snow, possibly mixing with rain, will arrive mainly before 1 p.m. which could be heavy at times.

It will also be breezy, with a northeast wind 15 to 20 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph.
