Somerset County Party Turns Violent: Shooting Injures, Hospitalizes 2 People
Somerset County Prosecutor's Office is investigating after a man and woman were both shot and hospitalized during a party on Saturday night.
FRANKLIN, NJ — A party in Somerset County turned violent when a shooting broke out, hospitalizing two people on Saturday night.
At about 10:33 p.m. on Saturday, Franklin Township Police officers were called to the area of Fuller Street and Franklin Boulevard in Franklin Township for a person who was reportedly shot while in the area, said Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson.
The victim, a Franklin Township adult woman, was shot while walking to a home during a party. She was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of her non-life-threatening gunshot wound, said Robertson.

While authorities were investigating, police found out that a second victim, an adult man from Edison, was also being treated at a nearby hospital with a gunshot wound, said Robertson.
The man also received a non-life-threatening gunshot wound from the same shooting on Fuller Street and Franklin Boulevard.

Detectives have not released a motive for the shooting which remains under investigation.
