2 Marijuana Arrests Made In Montgomery

Two men from Manville and Philedelphia were both charged with marijuana possession in separate incidents in Montgomery, police say.

MONTGOMERY, NJ —

On Feb. 27 at 10:59 p.m.: Montgomery Police stopped Michael Cieploch, 25, of Manville, after observing an equipment violation on the vehicle he was operating on Route 206. During the stop the officer detected the odor of marijuana coming from the interior of Cieploch’s vehicle. Officers recovered a quantity of suspect marijuana that Cieploch had discarded from his vehicle. Cieploch was placed under arrest and processed at the police HQ. He was issued a summons for possession of marijuana under 50 grams, along with motor vehicle summons’ for possession of CDS in a motor vehicle, unclear plates, and littering. Cieploch is scheduled to appear in Montgomery Twp. Municipal Court.

On March 4 at 1:43 a.m.: Montgomery Police stopped a vehicle for speeding on Route 206. During the traffic stop the officer detected the odor of marijuana coming from the interior of the vehicle. The passenger of the vehicle, Richard Wood, 39, of Philadelphia, PA was found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Wood was placed under arrest and processed at police HQ. He was issued a summons for possession of marijuana under 50 grams, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Wood is scheduled to appear in Montgomery Twp. Municipal Court.
