2 More Coronavirus Deaths Reported In Hillsborough

The township also reported 7 new COVID-19 positive cases on Wednesday.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Two more new coronavirus-related deaths were reported Wednesday in Hillsborough by Mayor Doug Tomson. This brings the death total to four in the township.

The township also reported seven new COVID-19 positive cases, bringing the total to 90 as of Wednesday.

"Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers," Tomson said.

Hillsborough is not closing its township parks at the moment.

"Right now we are keeping our township parks open but our playgrounds, basketball courts, and skate park are currently closed," Tomson said. "Please keep safe social distancing however we will continue to re-evaulaute this on a daily basis if we need to change this."

As of Wednesday, Somerset County has 1,140 positive cases and 50 deaths.

Gov. Phil Murphy announced 275 deaths and 3,088 new cases of the coronavirus on Wednesday. This brings the state total to 47,437 and 1,504 deaths. Read more: NJ Coronavirus Updates: Here's What You Need To Know
