2019 Hillsborough Fire Election Information

Know who's running, what ballot questions will there be, and where and what time voting will take place.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — The 2019 Hillsborough Fire Election will be held on Saturday, Feb. 16 where residents will vote to elect Hillsborough Township Board of Fire Commissioners, approve the annual budget and more.

There are two, three-year commissioner positions open and three people running for these positions, including Marian Fenwick-Shaffer, Jeffrey J. Mitchell, and Charles T. Nuara.

  • Approval of the annual operating budget for 2019 of $3,238,782 and an amount to be raised by taxation of $2,711,665
  • Approval to purchase a fire trucks for no more than $280,000
  • Approval to purchase a fire investigation vehicle for no more than $160,000
  • Approval to spend no more than $75,000 for the purchase of firefighter gear
  • Approval to spend no more than $80,000 for the purchase of a command vehicle

Polls will be open from 2 until 9 p.m. for this election at the Peter J. Biondi Municipal Complex located at 379 South Branch Road in Hillsborough.
