223 Coronavirus Cases, 17 Deaths: Latest Hillsborough Update

The latest on the coronavirus outbreak in Somerset County as of Tuesday, April 28.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Hillsborough has reported a total of 223 confirmed cases and 17 deaths of the new coronavirus as of Tuesday. Looking at the overall numbers, 7 percent of the confirmed cases in Hillsborough have died.

Mayor Doug Tomson noted of the 223 cases, 101 have recovered in Hillsborough.

Looking at long-term care facilities they are reporting a total 113 cases and 32 deaths. Tomson previously noted the discrepancy in the numbers is that the township only reports what has been officially entered into the system.

  • 2 - age 0 to 9
  • 8 - age 10 to 19
  • 22 - age 20 to 29
  • 17 - age 30 to 39
  • 37 - age 40 to 49
  • 43 - age 50 to 59
  • 42 - age 60 to 69
  • 17 - age 70 to 79
  • 26 - age 80 to 89
  • 8 - age 90 to 99
  • 1 - age 100+

Somerset County has a total of 3,278 cases and 242 deaths as of Tuesday.

  • Manville Borough: 94 cases (2 deaths)
  • Millstone Borough: 2 cases (0 deaths)
  • Montgomery Township: 75 cases (2 deaths)
