2nd weekend of January saw Raiders Jr. Wrestling team in a lot of action

The Raiders youth Wrestling Teams had a combined 5 matches the 2nd weekend of January. The Varsity team kicked off the action at home hosting a Central Jersey league Quad. The day saw Boro compete against Flemington, Clark and Westfield. The Raiders suffered their first losses of the season by scores of 49-36 against Flemington, 48-44 against Clark and 81-6 against a stout Westfield team. The young Raiders are forfeiting a number of weight classes due to the youth of the program and it caught up to them for the first time. 

In the first 2 bouts (Flemington & Clark) the Raiders were actually won 10 of the 19 matches that were not forfeits. For the day Chris Spinelli led the team with 3 wins, while Cole Psemenecki had 2, both pins, Cameron Hill and Arex Wyatt each had 2 wins. Evan Karolweski, Joe Witcoski, Vinny Aboosamara, Ryan Oram and Nick Klementowicz also earned victories. 

The Raritan Valley team traveled to Bridgewater to compete in a Double Dual. The young Raiders won 2 matches against Summit and Ridge to move to 3 & 2 on the season. Logan McDermid, Alex Villa, Austin Quandt, Donoven Nicolas, Brian Cohen and Rohan Deb each got their hand raised twice on the day. Justin LeBron, Christian Quandt, Matt Jones, Jason Roser all earned victories, while Luke Donnadio and Jack Miller earned key victories against Ridge to help lead the Raiders to their 3rd win of the season.
