3 Car Windows Smashed, Purses Stolen At 2 Montgomery Parks
All three vehicles were locked with no one inside but had purses left on the passenger side in plain view, police said.
MONTGOMERY, NJ — Three vehicles parked at two Montgomery Township parks had their windows smashed and purses stolen from inside recently, Montgomery Police reported.
One car parked at the Arboretum Park located on Harlingen Road was burglarized on Feb. 18 between 12:15 and 1:17 p.m. Two more cars were broken into on Feb. 23 between 4:45 and 5:30 p.m. while at Skillman Park on Main Boulevard, police said.
All three vehicles were locked with no one inside but had purses left on the passenger side in plain view, police said.

Someone busted out the passenger side windows of all three cars and stole the purses which contained cash, credit cards, and other valuables, police said.
The credit cards were used shortly after in at least one of the cases, police said.

"Residents are encouraged to lock their vehicles and to remove valuable items from plain view when the vehicle is unoccupied," Montgomery Police said.
