3 Flu Clinics To Be Offered In Hillsborough

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — In preparation for flu season, the Hillsborough Township Health Department is hosting three upcoming flu clinics for residents at the Hillsborough Municipal Building.

Sept. 14: The Hillsborough Health Department and Dr. Ron Frank of Green Brook Family Medicine will offer flu shots in the multipurpose room in the municipal building from 3 to 6 p.m., for ages 6 months and up. Dr. Frank accepts most health insurances and Medicare. HMO insurances will not be accepted. If you don't have insurance, the cost of the vaccine will be $30 in cash for the standard intramuscular trivalent vaccine. Dr. Frank will offer the standard intramuscularly injected flu vaccination for the 2017-2018 flu strains. He will also have high dose vaccine for those over age 65, if requested. These are killed virus vaccines you cannot get the flu from these vaccines. No nasal vaccine will be offered at these clinics.

Oct. 3 and 10: The Hillsborough Health Department and Walgreens of Hillsborough will offer flu vaccinations from 3 to 6:30 p.m. at the Hillsborough Municipal Building. These flu vaccinations can be given to those ages 12 years and up. Walgreens will offer intramuscular standard vaccine for the 2017-2018 flu season, and high dose for those over age 65 if requested. Walgreens will also take several insurances and Medicare. If you don't have health insurance, the cost is $25.99 cash or credit for the standard vaccine.
