3 New Police Officers Hired To Fill Vacancies In Hillsborough

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Three new police officers were hired by the Township Committee to fill vacancies at the department last month.

The Township Committee approved a resolution for the hiring of Zachary Desrosier, Vincent Gennaro, and Daniel Rodriguez at the July 12 meeting.

"There remain vacancies within the Police Department and as a result of the thorough interview process, the top candidates are being hired to fill those vacancies," said Mayor Shawn Lipani.

Mayor Shawn Lipani administered the oaths to the officers and he was joined by Chief McMahon and Captain Fisher.

Officers Zachary Desrosier and Daniel Rodriguez both recently graduated from the Ocean County Police Academy and Officer Vincent Gennaro recently graduated from the Cape May County Public Safety Academy.

The three officers will receive an annual salary of $53,096.

"Congratulations and welcome to these candidates on their completion of the rigorous interviewing process. Our Department looks forward to having them join our ranks," said Hillsborough Township Police Chief Mike McMahon.
