4 Hillsborough Locals Arrested For DWI, Shoplifting

One Hillsborough driver crashed on Route 206 and another drove her car into a ditch before being charged with DWI, police reported.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Multiple township residents were arrested for driving while intoxicated and shoplifting, according to Hillsborough Police.

Hillsborough Police Blotter:

On Aug. 18: Juan Robalino, 18, of Hillsborough was arrested for shoplifting at the Kohl's Store on Route 206. He concealed a set of Bluetooth headphones in a backpack and exited the store with them. The value of the stolen items was $99. He was processed and released pending a court appearance.

On Aug. 29: Robert Anderson, 59, of Hillsborough was arrested for DWI after his vehicle was involved in a one-car crash on Route 206. His blood alcohol content was found to be above the legal limit. He was also charged with driving while intoxicated within 1,000 feet of a school, along with careless driving and failure to maintain lane. He was processed and released pending a court appearance.

On Sept. 5: Charles Alsbrook 2nd, 39, of Newark was arrested for DWI after being stopped in his vehicle on Route 206. His blood alochol content was found to be above the legal limit. He was also charged with driving with a suspended license, failure to maintain lane and failure to maintain his vehicle's lamps or inspect his vehicle. He was processed and released pending a court appearance.

On Sept. 7: Maria Escamilla, 36, of Hillsborough was arrested for shoplifting at the CVS Store on Triangle Road. She exited the store and left the scene with multi-packs of toilet paper that she had not paid for. The value of the stolen items was $14. She was processed and released pending a court appearance.

On Sept. 14: Lillian Molina, 67, of Hillsborough was arrested for DWI after her vehicle was found driven into a ditch on Valley Road. Her blood alcohol content was found to be above the legal limit. She was also charged with careless driving. She was processed and released pending a court appearance.
