4 Puppies Left On Side Of Hillsborough Road

Nine people were also charged with driving while intoxicated during the month of November, according to the Hillsborough Police Blotter.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — One person was charged after police say they dumped four puppies on the side of the road in Hillsborough.

On Nov. 4, a 28-year-old resident of Plainfield was charged with four counts of abandoning an animal (Disorderly Persons Offense) when it was found they left four puppies on the side of Riverside Drive, according to the blotter.

The puppies were turned over to Animal Control Solutions. The resident was served with summonses and given a Hillsborough Township Municipal Court date.

On Nov. 2: Alan Warui, 24, of Hillsborough was arrested for DWI while on a traffic stop on Route 206. He was processed and released with a Hillsborough Township Municipal Court date.

On Nov. 4: Hillsborough Board Of Education reported someone vandalized an outside wall of Amsterdam School (301 Amsterdam Drive). The investigation is ongoing.

On Nov. 5: Ariel Rodriguez, 37, of Whitehouse Station was arrested for DWI while on a traffic stop on Route 206. He was processed and released with a Hillsborough Township Municipal Court date.

On Nov. 5: Pinnacle Health reported two member's lockers were entered and the victim's wallets and keys were taken. It was also found that one of the victim's vehicles was also entered, however nothing was taken. Surveillance showed three suspects fleeing the parking lot in a Black Mercedes. The investigation is ongoing.

On Nov. 5: Muhammad Ali, 20, of Carteret was charged with soliciting without a permit in the area of Wescott Road. He was served with a summons and given a Hillsborough Township Municipal Court date.

On Nov. 9: Jonathan Natarajan, 46, of Warren was arrested for DWI while on a traffic stop on Falcon Road. He was processed and released with a Hillsborough Township Municipal Court date.

On Nov. 10: Luis Fonseca, 40, of Manville was arrested for DWI while on a traffic stop on Camplain Road. He was processed and released with a Hillsborough Township Municipal Court date.

On Nov. 10: A 17-year-old resident of Flemington reported his wallet was stolen from Fruity Yogurt (424 Rt. 206) after he left it on a bench. He returned and the staff told him it was not turned in. The investigation is ongoing.

On Nov. 10: Selvin Batz Chancahvac, 46, of Trenton was arrested for DWI while on a traffic stop on Route 206. He was processed and released with a Hillsborough Township Municipal Court date.

On Nov. 11: Dato Trucking LLC of Wallington reported a 2019 Freightliner Tractor Trailer was stolen from Hercules Chassis (321 Valley Road). The investigation is ongoing.

On Nov. 12: A resident of Capricorn Drive reported a package containing four iPhones was stolen upon being delivered by UPS. The phones were valued at $4,000. The investigation is ongoing.

On Nov. 16: Melissa Mondoro, 38, of Somerville was arrested for DWI while on a traffic stop on Dukes Parkway West. She was processed and released with a Hillsborough Township Municipal Court date.

On Nov. 16: Ijahnea Newton, 27, of Somerset and Malika Thompson, 25, of Clementon were both charged with shoplifting (disorderly persons) after it was reported they stole $200 worth of clothing from Kohls (315 Rt. 206). They were served their summonses and given a Hillsborough Township Municipal Court date.

On Nov. 20: A resident on Fairfield Lane reported their unlocked vehicle was entered and rummaged through. Later in the day, they found their vehicle owner’s manual in the mailbox. Nothing was reported missing from the vehicle and the investigation is ongoing.

On Nov. 23: A resident of Hillsborough reported a man stole an iPhone he was selling on Facebook Marketplace. The victim reported the man asked him to meet on Estate Road to buy the phone. Once they met, the man looked at the phone, said he was going to buy it, then ran away without paying. The investigation is ongoing.

On Nov. 24: Marcus Garret, 39, of Hillsborough was arrested for DWI while on a traffic stop on Schindler Court. He was processed and released with a Hillsborough Township Municipal Court date.

On Nov. 24: Esteban Briceno Marin, 42, of Bound Brook was arrested for DWI while on a traffic stop on Route 206. He was processed and released with a Hillsborough Township Municipal Court date.

On Nov. 30: Fernando Ortega, 31, of Hillsborough was arrested for DWI while on a vehicle check at 450 Amwell Road. He was processed and released with a Hillsborough Township Municipal Court date.
