Fate Of 4 Hillsborough Warehouse Applications To Be Determined In 2023

The Hillsborough Planning Board scheduled new dates to hear 4 applications looking to build warehouses/industrial buildings in the township.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — The township has a busy schedule ahead of itself for 2023 with four pending warehouse/industrial building applications being proposed in Hillsborough.

During the Jan. 12 Planning Board meeting, decision dates were extended to June 30 for all four of the applications and hearing dates were also set for each application.

Homestead 279 LLC: The applicant is seeking to subdivide 17.11 acres into two lots. Proposed Lot A will front on Homestead Road and contain 5.41 acres to retain the existing commercial use and improvement; and Proposed Lot B to contain 11.7 acres and construct a 137,413 square foot warehouse with internal office space, associated parking, lighting, stormwater, and improvements.

The application will be heard on Feb. 9 at 7 p.m. and continued potentially to March 9 and May 11.

1170 Millstone LLC (REDCOM): The applicant is seeking to construct a 114,440 square-foot building to contain 120,440 square feet of light manufacturing space and 6,000 square feet of office, with associated stormwater, parking, lighting and improvements.

This application is currently on hold and a date for future hearings will be determined at a future date.

Weston RD, LLC (Guastella): The applicant is seeking to construct a 135,000-square-foot warehouse building with stormwater, parking, and associated improvements.

This application will be heard on Feb. 2 at 7 p.m. and continued to May 4.

Homestead Road, LLC (203 Homestead Road and 189 Homestead Road): This applicant is seeking to consolidate the two lots and then subdivide into two reconfigured lots; and demolish all existing structures to construct two warehouse/office buildings with a square footage of 537,299, with associated stormwater, parking, and site improvements.

Hillsborough previously had five warehouse applications in 2022 but one application that was looking to build a 107,366 sq. ft. warehouse near the Green Hills Community was denied by the Planning Board on Oct. 13, 2022. Read More: Warehouse Application Denied By Hillsborough Planning Board
