4-Year-Old Somerset Girl Calls 911, Saves Mom's Life
Brave and quick-thinking Isla Glaser even took care of her younger siblings during the entire rescue, police said

SOMERSET, NJ — A brave and quick thinking 4-year-old girl from Franklin Township saved her mom's life by calling 911. She even took care of her three younger siblings during the entire ordeal.
In an emergency, minutes if not seconds can make the difference and Isla Glaser stepped right up. Franklin Police have called her a "superhero" for her valiant efforts.
On Dec. 6 just before 8 a.m. Franklin Township Police Dispatchers Julie Kozo and Olivia Klein were caught off guard when they heard a little voice on the other end of a 911 call coming from a home on Bartle Road in the Somerset section of the township, police said.

Isla told police that her mom fell down and needed help. She gave all of the necessary information to the dispatchers to help get police to the house fast, police said.
When Officers Frank Mahon and Michael Casey got to the home they couldn't get inside because the door was locked. They were able to talk to Isla through the door and instruct her to drag a chair to the door so she could reach the lock, police said.

After Isla unlocked the door, first responders went inside and began to help her mother, Haley Glaser, who was unconscious on the floor, police said.
"Despite Isla’s tender age, she showed a great deal of poise and bravery, but it didn’t stop there," police said.
While responders were helping Haley, Isla began to care for her three younger siblings who were ages 2.5 and twin 1 year olds by giving them breakfast and assuring them that "mommy was going to be OK."
Haley was transported to a local area hospital where she was admitted and treated for four days. She is now home and recovering.
"If not for the swift and sure actions of Isla, this could have had a very different outcome," police said.
