5 Arrested On Drug-Related Charges In Montgomery

MONTGOMERY, NJ — Montgomery Police reported arresting five people on drug-related charges recently.
Montgomery Police blotter:
On Jan.21 at 11:42 p.m.: Montgomery Police stopped a 2013 Honda Accord on Route 206 near the Hillsborough Border for failure to signal a lane change. Police smelled the odor of raw marijuana, and the driver, Liam McKenna, 21, of Hillsborough, was found to be in possession of marijuana. He was arrested and processed at police headquarters. He was also issued traffic summonses for failure to signal a lane change, and for possessing narcotics in a motor vehicle. He was released, and is due to appear in Montgomery Township Municipal Court.

On Jan. 21 at about 3:24 p.m.: Sean Dekis, 30, of Belle Mead was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia. Dekis was pulled over by Sgt. Gray for an equipment violation on River Road. During the traffic stop Dekis was found to be in possession of various items of drug paraphernalia. Dekis was arrested and taken to the Montgomery Township Police Department for arrest processing. Dekis was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and issued a traffic ticket for failure to inspect and was then released pending an appearance in the Montgomery Township Municipal Court.
On Jan. 20 at about 5:15 p.m.: Jared Lerner, 34, of Morristown was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia. Lerner was operating a motor vehicle on Route 206 when Officer Coutinho pulled the vehicle over for driving while suspended. During the traffic stop, drug paraphernalia was recovered from the vehicle. Lerner was arrested and taken to the Montgomery Township Police Department for arrest processing. Lerner was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and issued a traffic ticket for driving while suspended. Lerner was released pending an appearance in the Montgomery Township Municipal Court.

On Jan. 16 at 10:22 a.m.: Montgomery Police stopped a 2011 Subaru on Route 206 near the Princeton Border for a rejected inspection. The officer detected the odor of marijuana. The driver, Richard Yurcisin, 18, of North Brunswick, was found to be in possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and alcohol. He was arrested, and processed at police headquarters. Yurcisin was issued a summons for the traffic violation as well, and is due to appear in Montgomery Township Municipal Court.
On Jan. 15 at 3:16 p.m.: Montgomery Police stopped a 2016 Hyundai on Route 206 near the Princeton Border for a suspended registration. The officer smelled the odor of marijuana. The driver, Jermy Dick, 28, of Lauderhill, Florida, was found to be in possession of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. He was arrested and processed at police headquarters. He was also issued traffic summonses for the suspended registration and having narcotics in the vehicle, and is due to appear in Montgomery Township Municipal Court.
