HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — New Year's Eve is fast approaching and many may choose to stay home while others will travel to their local watering hole to ring in 2018.

With that in mind, here are the highest-rated bars in and around the Hillsborough area, according to Yelp.

The Landing - 311 Amwell Rd, Hillsborough

• "Super quality food and the settings are great - you can eat inside the restaurant, sit on the outdoor patio, or head downstairs to the pub."
• "Great menu variety, food was delicious ! We had the adult grilled cheese and the pork belly tacos. Both were excellent."
• "Checked the pub out after the remodel. They did a great job! Lots of room, lots of TVs, great vibe in the room. Food was really good."
