6 Charged With Driving While Intoxicated In Hillsborough

Hillsborough Police continue to crack down on drunk drivers with six people charged with driving while intoxicated in March.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Hillsborough Police continue to crack down on drunk drivers with six people charged with driving while intoxicated in March.

Hillsborough Police Blotter:

March 3: A 45-year-old Hillsborough man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after being stopped by police on Route 206. He was also charged with reckless driving, careless driving, failure to maintain lane and open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle. He
was released with a court date.

March 10: A 40- year old Hillsborough man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after being stopped by police at the Hillsborough QuickChek. He was also issued summonses for reckless driving, careless driving, and open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle. He was released with a court date.

March 12: A 53-year-old Hillsborough man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after being stopped by police for a motor vehicle violation on Route 206. He was also charged with reckless driving, careless driving, failure to maintain lane, expired registration
and failure to exhibit documents. He was released with a court date.

March 17: Peter Coffman, 43, of South Bound Brook was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after police responded to the area of Auten Road and Valley Road for a reported motor vehicle complaint. The investigation also revealed that the vehicle had been involved in a motor vehicle crash prior to being stopped by police. Coffman was also charged with reckless driving, careless driving, failure to report an accident, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to maintain lane. He was released with a court date.

March 18: A 42-year-old Manville woman was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after police responded to the area of Millstone River Road and Blackwells Mills Road for the report of a motor vehicle complaint. She was also summonsed for reckless driving, driving while suspended, obstructing the passage of other vehicles, refusal to submit to an alcohol breath test, unlicensed driver, and failure to exhibit documents. She was released with a court date.

March 27: A 30-year-old of Lakewood man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after police responded to a disabled motor vehicle complaint on Millstone River Road near Plumstead Way. He was also charged with reckless driving and failure to exhibit documents. He was released with a court date.
