6 Hillsborough Locals Arrested For DWI, Shoplifting, Drugs

Hillsborough Police report arrested 6 township residents recently for driving while intoxicated, shoplifting and marijuana possession.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Hillsborough Police report arrested six township residents recently for driving while intoxicated, shoplifting and marijuana possession.

Hillsborough Police Blotter:

On May 31: Devdas Pewar, 31, of Hillsborough was arrested for driving while intoxicated after being stopped in his vehicle on South Triangle Road. He was also issued summonses for failing to submit to a breath samples, failing to keep right and failing to exhibit documents. He was processed and released pending a court appearance.

On June 3: Benito Higarera-Perez, 37, of Hillsborough was arrested for driving while intoxicated after striking a pole on Robin Road. He was issued additional summonses for leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report the accident, careless driving and having an unregistered vehicle. He was processed and released pending a court appearance.

On June 5: Astria Kuboosh, 27, of Belle Mead was arrested for shoplifting at the Kohls department store on Route 206. She concealed jewelry on her person valued at $26 and left the store without paying for it. She was processed and released pending a court appearance.

On June 5: Christopher Bryan, 35, of Bridgewater and Heather Bachmann, 37, of Bridgewater were arrested for shoplifting from the Weis Market located at 315 Route 206. Bryan concealed merchandise on his person valued at $185.93 and left the store without paying. He later returned the items for store credit. He then entered the store again and concealed another $189.94 worth of merchandise on his person and left the store without paying. Bachmann later returned to the store with Bryan and attempted to return those items for store credit. Bashmann was processed and released pending a court appearance and Bryan was lodged in Somerset County Jail on these charged and outstanding warrants.

On June 6: Paul Vacca, 46, of Hillsborough was arrested for shoplifting from the Weis Market located at 315 Route 206. Vacca concealed merchandise valued at $223.36 and left the store without paying. He was processed and released pending a court appearance.

On June 9: Matthew Doring, 20, of Hillsborough was arrested for driving while intoxicated after being stopped in his vehicle on Chamberlain Drive and River Road. He was issued additional summonses for failing to stop, speeding, failing to maintain a lane and careless driving. He was processed and released pending a court appearance.

On June 10: Paz Mujica, 39, of Manville was arrested for driving while intoxicated after being stopped in her vehicle on Dukes Parkway East. She was issued additional summonses for failing to maintain a lane, careless driving and having an unclear license plate. She was processed and released pending a court appearance.

On June 19: Andrew Cheddie, 26, of Somerville was arrested for driving while intoxicated after being stopped in his vehicle on Route 206. He was issued additional summonses for failing to keep right. He was processed and released pending a court appearance.

On June 25: Jayson Cardozo, 28, of Hillsborough was arrested for possession of marijuana after being stopped in his vehicle on Route 206. He was issued additional summonses for having controlled dangerous substance (CDS) in a motor vehicle and using a hand-held cell phone while driving. He was processed and released pending a court appearance.

On June 27: Isabella Dinardi, 19, of Hillsborough was arrested for possession of marijuana after being stopped in her vehicle on Hamilton Road. She was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. She was issued motor vehicle summonses for having CDS in a motor vehicle and failing to stop. She was processed and released pending a court appearance.
