9 DWI Arrests, Graffiti, Theft Reported In Hillsborough
Hillsborough Township Police released its blotter for the month of January.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Driving while intoxicated arrests, graffiti, thefts, and more were reported in the latest Hillsborough Police Blotter for January.

Jan. 1: Nicolas Benoit, 24, of Hillsborough, was arrested for DWI while on a motor vehicle crash investigation on River Road. He was also charged with assault by auto (DP) for the minor injuries of the occupants of the other vehicle. He was processed and released with a Hillsborough Township Municipal Court date.
Jan. 2: A white VW Passat with a New York license plate fled from officers while on a traffic stop on Route 206 and then again on Falcon Road. The investigation is ongoing.

Jan. 3: A Hillsborough resident reported his vehicle was keyed while parked in the Shoprite (601 Rt. 206) parking lot. He estimated the damage at $2,000. The investigation is ongoing.
Jan. 5: An employee of Foothill Acres (39 East Mountain Road) reported $90 in cash and a credit card was taken from her purse while she was working. The investigation is ongoing.
Jan. 5: James Lang, 59, of Hillsborough, was arrested for DWI while on a traffic stop on Featherbed Lane. He was processed and released with a Hillsborough Township Municipal Court date.
Jan. 6: A red Honda Accord with a Pennsylvania license plate fled from a traffic stop on Route 206. The investigation is ongoing.
Jan. 8: Zinasia Cooper, 22, of Hillsborough, was charged with hindering (disorderly persons) after she refused to identify herself during an eluding investigation. She was served her summons and given a Hillsborough Township Municipal Court date.
Jan. 9: The owners of Pendelton Brakes and Motor Service (131 Rt. 206) reported $1,300 worth of tools were taken after someone broke a window and entered the building. The investigation is ongoing.
Jan. 11: Fernando Valencia-Labastida, 45, of East Brunswick was arrested for DWI while on a traffic stop on Amwell Road. He was processed and released with a Hillsborough Township Municipal Court date.
Jan. 15: Patidar Market (649 Rt. 206) reported graffiti was found at the back of the building. The damage was valued at $200. The investigation is ongoing.
Jan. 16: Residents on Manor Drive reported spray paint on the dumpster enclosure. The neighborhood association valued the damage at $500. The investigation is ongoing.
Jan. 18: Massimo Capitani, 53, of Bridgewater, was arrested for DWI while on a traffic stop on Rt. 206. He was processed and released with a Hillsborough Township Municipal Court date.
Jan. 19: Mohummad Masood, 18, of Hillsborough, was arrested for DWI while on a traffic stop on Amwell Road. He was processed and released with a Hillsborough Township Municipal Court date.
Jan. 19: Mario Bueno Legarreta, 28, of Hillsborough, was arrested for DWI while on a traffic stop on the Rt. 206 Bypass. He was processed and released with a Hillsborough Township Municipal Court date.
Jan. 24: A 48-year-old resident of Stanhope reported sunglasses and a cell phone mount were stolen out of his vehicle while at Co Parts (2124 Camplain Road). The investigation is ongoing.
Jan. 25: James Devine, 23, of Belle Mead was arrested for DWI while on a motor vehicle crash investigation on River Road. He was processed and released with a Hillsborough Township Municipal Court date.
Jan. 26: Tasia Street, 32, of Plainfield, was arrested for DWI while on a traffic stop on Manor Drive. She was processed and released with a Hillsborough Township Municipal Court date.
Jan. 26: Hassan Alexander, 36, of Plainfield, was arrested for hindering (disorderly persons) after providing a fake name to officers while on a traffic stop on Manor Drive. He was processed and released with a Hillsborough Township Municipal Court date.
Jan. 26: Graffiti was found in the men’s room of Ann Van Middlesworth Park (584 Pleasant View Road). The investigation is ongoing.
Jan. 26: A resident of Davenport Way reported an unknown actor broke into their shed. Nothing was found to have been stolen. The investigation is ongoing.
Jan. 27: A man was reported to have rung the doorbells at 3 a.m. of several homes on Merrit Drive. The man was not located and all the residents confirmed they were not expecting anyone.
On Jan. 30: A Hillsborough resident reported his locker was entered while at Planet Fitness (256 Rt. 206) and $100 in cash was taken from his wallet. The investigation is ongoing.
