This Floor-To-Ceiling Hidden Salt Cave, Spa Is Tucked Away In Somerset County

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Tucked away off Amwell Road lies an immersive healing experience complete with a floor-to-ceiling salt cave for adults and children.

Hillsborough mother of three Alaina Molesko opened The Salty Moon Wellness Center at 390 Amwell Rd., Suite 508, in Hillsborough after going on a self-healing journey of her own that began when she was 16 years old.

Now she is on a mission to help her community, from children to adults, by beautifying the mind, body, and soul, to create long-term improvement in her clients' overall health and well-being.

"I have always been on a health journey," said Molesko to Patch. "Now the universe has led me to this. There was nothing like this here. We needed a place like this in Hillsborough."

The Salty Moon is an all-inclusive wellness center offering a number of unique services such as the Salt Cave, Somedome Meditation Pod, Zerobody Dry Float Therapy, Opus Sound Bed, New Moon Sound Baths, Cyroskin treatments, massage, Vibrational Sound Healing, Celluma Light Therapy, Full Moon Caco Ceremonies, and more.

Adults and children can enter the floor-to-ceiling salt cave that offers optical twinkle lights in the ceiling along with red light therapy and infrared.

Molesko is a Licensed Esthetician, Certified Sound Therapist, and has obtained a vast knowledge through her working experience and training. Her main focus is on the combination of medical-backed studies and spiritual healing. She is well-versed in holistic and homeopathic health and wellness. She also enjoys working with the moon energy.
